Situated on the Avon Cycleway looking out over the Chew Valley, here we offer just a few camping pitches at select times of the year. Each pitch comes with its own picnic bench and fire pit that are perfect for solo campers, couples and small groups. There are many great walks straight from the campsite with the village of Pensford just 15 minutes by foot.

Camping at Tarnwell is very much back to basics and our aim is to leave as minimum impact on the land as possible. With the only facilities being a (very clean) compost toilet hidden in the trees. Our pitches are all on the left hand side of our 2.4 acre farm with views over the valley and over the new flower farm.

Camping Costs

£15 per night (for 2 people on 1 pitch)

£5 additional person (max 4 per pitch)

£5 for an additional car (1 per pitch)

£6 firewood

  • We are tucked away down a narrow lane with limited parking and want to encourage campers to arrive by foot or bike. We understand when camping this sometimes isn't possible so would just ask those to car share where they can.

  • Due to the size and positioning of the pitches it is not possible to park where you camp. Cars must be left at the entrance, then it’s only a short walk to the pitches.

  • Please be aware there is currently no drinking water or shower facilities on site. There is limited water from the stream for washing up. We kindly ask that only eco-friendly products are used.

  • Dogs are welcome but please keep them on a lead or under close control so they don’t disturb others or wander through the right hand side of the farm where the flowers are growing. There is livestock in neighboring fields and ours is not fully secure. We do have a dog that likes to run about and may come to say hello!
